Seam bowler Amy Wheeler has departed The Blaze to join Tier One newcomers Glamorgan on a two-year deal.

Wheeler, 21, spent the early part of the 2026 season on loan at the Welsh county, making four appearances across formats, and has now made the move permanent until 2028.

The right-arm quick first signed for The Blaze on a rookie contract with the support of the ACE Programme in September 2024, having spent four years in the Academy prior to that.

Born in Macclesfield, Wheeler made her first XI debut for The Blaze in a third-round Vitality Women’s T20 County Cup clash with Oxfordshire in May 2025.

She went on to spend time on loan with Worcestershire later that summer, before a stint with her new side earlier this year.
