Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club have appointed Michael Temple as Chief Executive.
Michael takes office immediately having previously served as the club’s Interim Chief Executive and Commercial Director.
He brings extensive experience across professional sport and venue management, alongside a deep understanding of the cricketing landscape, Nottinghamshire and Trent Bridge.
Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club Chairman Andy Hunt said: “Michael has demonstrated total commitment to Nottinghamshire and has provided assured leadership as Interim Chief Executive.
“He understands what this club means to its members and supporters, and combines that understanding with commercial and operational experience, mature judgement and significant ambition for our future.
“We look forward to working with Michael to support successful teams, further strengthen the club’s financial position, develop our facilities and ensure Trent Bridge continues to offer an outstanding experience for everyone who visits.”
Michael has enjoyed a long career in sport and venue management that included spells at Glamorgan County Cricket Club and the Olympic Stadium in London, in addition to two spells with Nottinghamshire.
“It is a privilege to be appointed Chief Executive of a club that means so much to me,” said Michael.
“There is much to look forward to at Trent Bridge as we prepare to host the men’s and women’s Ashes next summer, return to our redeveloped pavilion and position ourselves to build upon the winning records of our teams.
“The support I’ve received over the past few weeks and throughout my 16 seasons at Trent Bridge has been immense and I’m incredibly proud to lead a group of people that care about this club as deeply as I do and are committed to shaping a prosperous future.”
