BBC Children in Need’s famous Pudsey Bear will be in attendance throughout Trent Rockets’ home matchday against Birmingham Phoenix on Wednesday 5 August, with supporters invited to donate to the charity’s projects which support children and young people nationwide.
Pudsey will be getting involved with activities around the ground, delivering the ceremonial Launch Ball before the men’s game, meeting supporters and joining the Rockets’ mascot, Spacedog, throughout the evening.
Trent Rockets will also invite children, young people and families involved with local projects supported by BBC Children in Need to enjoy the game at Trent Bridge.
Pudsey’s visit is the latest collaboration between Trent Rockets and Children in Need, with the charity’s famous logo having featured on players’ helmets throughout the tournament.
The partnership has brought together two organisations with families and communities at their heart. Trent Rockets are committed to creating welcoming, inclusive and entertaining matchdays that bring people together, while BBC Children in Need works to ensure that every child and young person has the opportunity to thrive.
A number of community heroes and grassroots clubs will also be in attendance at the game, as part of the Rockets’ Great Teammate and Community Hero awards.
Tickets are selling fast for the Rockets’ clash with Phoenix on Wednesday 5 August, with both the men’s and women’s teams on winning streaks and bidding to secure a place in The Hundred Eliminator or Final.
The matchday will also feature live music from viral sensations Deco, and a visit from Prezzo Italian’s iconic Fiat 500, with giveaways and prizes for Trent Rockets supporters.
