Travis Holland and Francis Moore will depart Nottinghamshire at the end of the month, following the conclusion of their contracts with the club.

Moore is to retire from professional cricket due to injury, while Holland has not been offered a new deal with the club.

21-year-old seamer Moore arrived at Trent Bridge ahead of the 2025 season, having previously represented Notts at Second XI level. He continued to feature in the seconds following the signing of a two-year rookie contract, but found opportunities limited by injury.

"I'd like to thank Notts for giving me the opportunity as a professional cricketer, and Shiney [Kevin Shine, Assistant Coach] in particular for everything he's done for me," he said.

"He's known as one of the best bowling coaches in the country for a reason, and it's been a pleasure to work with him.

"I'm sad to be stepping away from playing the game, but am excited for a new chapter in my career at the same time."

Holland, 20, signed his first professional contract in the winter of 2024, alongside fellow Academy graduates Tom Giles and Sam Seecharan.

The top-order batter made seven Second XI Championship appearances during the course of his two-year deal, alongside 20 Second XI T20 appearances, having previously earned an England U19 cap in 2023.

“It’s been an honour to represent my home county through the age groups and enjoy two years as part of the senior squad,” he said.

“I’d like to thank my teammates and coaches for their help and support throughout the whole of my time with Notts, and I wish everyone at Trent Bridge all the best for the future.”

Nottinghamshire's Director of Cricket, Mick Newell, added: “Francis and Travis have been dedicated young professionals during their time with us.

“Travis has unfortunately found opportunities limited by the competition for places at the top of the order, while it is always sad to see a player as young as Francis compelled to retire due to struggles with injury.

“We wish both of them all the best with their next steps, whether inside or outside the game.”
