Ben Martindale hammered 220 as Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire drew a three-day Second XI friendly at Lady Bay.
Responding to Leicestershire’s first-innings 362/9dec – in which Farhan Ahmed took four wickets – Notts’ reply was given impetus by opener Martindale, whose innings included 31 fours and two sixes.
He shared in a stand of 146 for the third wicket with Ahmed, who made 59, as Notts amassed 427/9 – Martindale retiring on 220 after taking a blow to the helmet.
There were three wickets in Leicestershire’s second innings for Tom Giles, with Liam Trevaskis hitting an unbeaten century, before the two captains shook hands shortly after 4.30pm on day three.
