The Trent Bridge Community Trust has received a generous £6,000 donation from Nottingham High School, after the school selected the Trust as one of its two nominated charities of the year.

The fundraising total reflects the efforts of pupils and staff across the school community throughout the year.

The funds will go directly towards the Trust’s community programmes, supporting physical and mental wellbeing initiatives that reach people across Nottinghamshire.

"The Trent Bridge Community Trust was chosen by our students as one of our charities of the year, given their work goes far beyond cricket, and directly supports the health and wellbeing of people across the county,” said Stuart Ramsay, Director of Finance & Operations, Nottingham High School.

“We're incredibly proud of what our pupils and staff have achieved together and delighted to hand over this donation."

Established in 2008, the Trent Bridge Community Trust reaches beyond the boundary to use the power of cricket to create opportunities, raise aspirations and connect people.

"This donation from Nottingham High School means a huge amount to us,” said Mark Worall, Trustee of the Trent Bridge Community Trust.

“For every pound we raise, we generate almost £12 of social value across the county, so donations of this size make a real difference.

“We’re delighted that the High School have chosen a cause with such a local focus as a nominated charity. This money will have a tangible impact in their county, from breaking down barriers for young people at risk of social exclusion to supporting adults with mental health or dementia-related needs

“On behalf of everyone at the Trust, thank you."
