Welsh-born all-rounder Thanawala is a twin product of the Leicestershire pathway and of The Blaze’s regional Academy, the latter of which she graduated from in October 2024.
Having taken 35 wickets for the Academy in 2024 with her off-spin, as well as hitting 102 not out off just 67 balls against Northern Diamonds, she was named in the England squad for the 2025 Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia.
She took five wickets in the tournament, including a best return of 3/19 against New Zealand, as England reached the semi-finals.
